Oh well - they lost.
The match was on in the new village hall, of which Helmut is the jannie. Angelika and I went for a walk - we were just about the only people to be seen on the streets. German flags were everywhere, and we could guess the progress of the match from the shouts we could hear!
This afternoon I was in Marburg with Moni. We did some shopping - books, mostly - and we had lunch and, of course, Eis. It was pretty hot today.
I've had a busy few days, so tomorrow is more of a lazy day. I might get to post some photos.
Well second go at posting a comment - I'll get into the 20th century yet. Sounds like you're having a good time. Say hi to A&H, M&T and anyone else who remembers me. Wish I was still on the beach with blue sky and 22 degrees rather than back at work today.............
ReplyDeleteSchade! Better luck next time. I am rooting for Spain even though the Germans stole all the dutch bicycles.
ReplyDeleteI was at Cambo today and just got back from the Neuk after fish and chips at the usual place:-). Also had Eis!
Adele, Carola
Ahhh....eis!!! I was really disappointed that I didn't manage to get one in France. Problem of having young kids - if they've not been good enough to earn one, you can't have one either!!!
ReplyDeleteWas wondering how things would have been over there with the footie.
Schöne Grüβe to all!
Ebenfalls schoene Gruesse an alle!
